Lebanese singer and actress Nicole Saba has been nominated for a number of films which she will choose one to mark her second cinematic experience after her first film “Al Tajruba Al Denmarkia” (A Danish Experience) alongside Egyptian comedian-actor Adel Imam.

One of the films that Nicole has been nominated for is “45 Days with the Egyptian actress Hanan Turk and a number of other young actors.

Nicole had accepted the role in the film due to the fact that the story of the film really attracted her attention. Saba recently released her first solo music video for the song “Yali Shaghilni Beek” (I’m Occupied with you) under the direction of Nadine Labky. The director decided to present Nicole in a new style which has not been used yet, as a secretary from the sixties.

The song is part of Nicole’s first solo album, which the singer hopes will mark her return to the singing world. Nicole placed the final touches on her new album in Cairo . Alam El Phan produces the album “Ya Shaghilni Aineedk” which features ten songs.

• La plus blonde des Orientales, l'actrice et chanteuse libanaise Nicole Saba se prépare à un voyage au Maroc. Elle sera en effet l'invitée d'honneur du festival international du film de Marrakech pour son rôle dans le film "El Tajrobah el Dinmakey" (L'Expérience hollandaise), dans lequel elle tient le premier rôle avec l'acteur égyptien Adel Imam.

  Nicole travaille également sur un autre projet : elle tiendra le premier rôle d'une nouvelle série libanaise "Hawa fil Tarikh" (Eve dans l'Histoire) qui sera diffusée durant le mois de Ramadan prochain (septembre 2007).

  Paradoxalement, ce sera la première fois que Nicole tournera pour une production libanaise ; habituellement, elle offre ses services aux productions égyptiennes. Dans la série, Nicole aura le privilège d'incarner la reine Ellysa (Didon pour les latins), reine de Carthage.

  Virgile dans L'Énéide, a chanté l'amour de la reine carthaginoise et du prince troyen Enée. Ce dernier avait atteint le sol d'Afrique pour faire escale après une tempête. Il fut accueilli par la reine de Carthage (Didon). Une grande passion naquit entre eux mais elle sera interrompue par les dieux de l'Olympe qui rappelleront à Enée sa mission : fonder une cité, Rome. Meurtrie par l'abandon de son bien-aimé, Ellyssa se suicidera et son fantôme refusera d'accorder son pardon à Enée.

  Une belle histoire et un rôle très flatteur pour Nicole qui, espérons-le, fera honneur au personnage légendaire de la reine Didon.
